| Peter Breese, PMD Director, President & CEO Mr. Breese has over 25 years operational experience in the global mining industry, having predominantly worked across southern Africa (South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania and Zimbabwe) and Australia in the uranium, nickel, platinum and chrome sectors. He has held a number of senior management positions in TSX and ASX publicly listed companies, including CEO of Mantra Resources, before its US$1 billion acquisition by ARMZ, the 51.4% shareholder in Uranium One Inc., Chief Executive of Norilsk, following its US$6 billion acquisition of LionOre, where he was Chief Operating Officer, as well as senior executive and board positions with Impala Platinum Holdings, Mimosa Mining Company, Zimasco and BCL. He is currently a Director of TSX listed Coalspur Mines Limited and holds a PMD from Harvard Business School. | |
| Tony Devlin Chief Operating Officer Mr. Devlin has over 30 years executive, operational and project management experience in Africa. Most recently Tony was Managing Director ("MD") of Mantra Tanzania. Prior to that he was MD of Williamson Diamonds in Tanzania and also held a number of executive management positions with Anglo American including CEO of Zimbabwe Alloys (Zimbabwe). | |
| Greg McCunn, P.ENG, MBA Chief Financial Officer Mr. McCunn is a mining executive with 20 years of domestic and international experience. His background includes technical, operational, corporate development and financial roles with Teck, Placer Dome and several junior mining companies in Canada and Australia. He most recently spent three years as CFO of Farallon Mining Ltd., during which time the company completed construction and commissioning of the G-9 mine in Mexico. Mr. McCunn played an integral role in the friendly takeover of Farallon in January, 2011, by Nyrstar NV. Prior to Farallon Mr. McCunn was vice-president, project development, for Zincore Metals. He holds a master's degree in business administration as well as a bachelor of applied science in metallurgical engineering. Mr. McCunn's experience in bringing new mines into production will be a tremendous asset to Keegan as it rapidly moves the Esaase project to production. | |
| Ben Adoo, Eng Managing Director, Ghana Mr. Adoo is a mining engineer who graduated from the Camborne School of Mines in 1971 and completed a masters in engineering at McGill University in 1987. Ben has almost four decades of underground gold and surface bauxite mining experience in Ghana. He was former Managing Director, Ghana Bauxite Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Alcan Inc., former General Manager of Prestea, Tarkwa and Dukwa Goldfields in Ghana and is a past President and Honorary Member of Council of the Ghana Chamber of Mines. Ben has acted as a representative of Ghana's mining community on many occasions, including a recent role with the World Bank study on "The Mining Sector and Business Sector Development in Burkina Faso". | |
| Patrick Kpekpena General Manager - Operations Mr. Kpekpena is a Ghanaian Mining Engineer with extensive project management and operations experience both within Ghana and internationally. He has held senior managerial positions in Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania and Canada with a number of major mining companies including Gold Fields and De Beers. Mr. Kpekpena was most recently Mine Manager and relief General Manager for Endeavour Mining Corporation's (formerly Adamus Resources) Nzema Gold Project, in Ghana, through its start-up, commissioning and into operations. | |
| Hugo Truter General Manager -- Projects Mr. Truter has over 25 years project and operational management experience in Africa. He is the former Manager -- Engineering for Mantra Resources in Tanzania and former Head of Engineering at Tati Nickel in Botswana. His previous work experience spans across base metals, gold, platinum and diamonds. He was notably Project Manager for one of the world's largest DMS plants constructed at Tati. Mr. Truter also served in the capacity of Acting General Manager at Tati Nickel for a number of years. |
